Rafael is currently pursuing a **Bachelor of Science in Computer Science** at the **University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV)**, where he maintains a **4.0 GPA**. Before transitioning into tech, he earned his **B.S. in Biology**, graduating **Summa Cum Laude** and being recognized as a **four-year President’s List recipient**.
His academic journey reflects not only excellence but versatility—bridging scientific research, data literacy, and computational thinking.

Before moving into computing, Rafael contributed to chemical research as an **Undergraduate Research Assistant** in UTRGV’s Department of Chemistry, working on organic compound synthesis for cancer and diabetes studies.

As an intern on the Data Team, Rafael will play an active role in our AI engineering and research workflows, including:
